A pesar de la canción número 16 del Billboard Hot 100 "Through the Storm" (un dúo con Elton John ), el álbum no fue un éxito comercial; alcanzó el número 55 en el Billboard 200. El sencillo de seguimiento, "It Isn't, It Wasn't, It Ain't Never Gonna Be", un dúo con Whitney Houston , no logró llegar al top 40 de los Billboard Hot 100, llegando al número 41. Otro artistas invitados incluyen a James Brown , The Four Tops y Kenny G .
El álbum fue remasterizado y relanzado como una "Edición Expandida" en diciembre de 2014 por Funky Town Grooves, con pistas adicionales y un segundo CD.
